Abstract The goal of the experiment described in this paper was to examine effects structure orientation (0°–90°) and fluid–structure interaction (FSI) under combined water loads, represented by current waves, earthquake actions, on dynamic response a reduced-scale bridge pier specimen with pile foundation. peak relative displacement acceleration are measured using first time innovative Iraq, Reality Water–Structure–Earthquake Interaction Test (RWSEIT). findings given analyzed concerning depths, speed, wave characteristics, amplitudes, structural orientations. A numerical model examined three dimensions (3D) constructed, were successfully confirmed data from experiments. foundation pier's 3D orientations that cannot be tested lab computed constructed model. complicated dynamically produced FSI coastal bridges may better understood according research's experimental findings.
